The 2017 ITA Division III National Men’s Team Indoor Championship returns to Cleveland, Ohio, and the Cleveland Racquet Club, as Case Western Reserve serves as event host for the second consecutive year and third time in the last four years. The eight-team tournament gets underway Friday, Feb. 24, and runs through Sunday, Feb. 26.

Emory, the defending #ITAIndoors champion, and holder of the most #ITAIndoors men’s Division III titles with six, is the No. 1 seed in the eight-team field. All eight teams in the draw are ranked in the Top 15 of the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis National Team Rankings, with six teams landing in the Top 10. Emory (No. 2), Washington University in St. Louis (No. 4) and Chicago (No. 5) each possess a Top 5 ranking. Carnegie Mellon (No. 7), host Case Western Reserve (No. 8), Pomona-Pitzer (No. 9), Kenyon (No. 11) and Trinity (TX) (No. 14), comprise the remainder of the men’s draw.

The Eagles will take on No. 8 Trinity (TX) in Friday’s opening round, while other first round matchups feature No. 4 Carnegie Mellon versus No. 5 Case Western Reserve, No. 3 Chicago versus No. 6 Pomona-Pitzer and No. 2 Washington University-St. Louis versus No. 7 Kenyon.

The Emory-Trinity (TX) and Washington University-St. Louis-Kenyon matches are scheduled for an 8 a.m. EDT start, with the two other first round matches to follow at 12 p.m. EDT. Each team in the draw is guaranteed three matches, with consolation matches taking place Saturday and Sunday, in addition to the main draw semifinals and final.
