Bruins, Trojans Continue to Lead the Way in the Campbell/ITA Team Rankings
Few major changes among top 25 on both men's and women's side
SKILLMAN, N.J. - Despite being off for the week for exams, the UCLA women's team held strong at No. 1 in this week's Campbell/ITA Women's Team Rankings. The Bruins will be back in action on Friday, March 23, with a trip to new Pac-12 foe Colorado. The USC men's team continued to cruise through a rigorous schedule, recording wins over current Campbell/ITA top 25 opponents Texas and Texas A&M during its trip to the Lone Star State to remain in the top spot. The Trojans' next scheduled match is set for Monday, March 26 at home against Boise State.
Follow the Leader: For the men, following USC is (in order): Ohio State, Virginia, Georgia, UCLA, Duke, Kentucky, Pepperdine, California, and Stanford. On the women's side, UCLA is followed by: Florida, USC, Stanford, Duke, Miami (FL), Georgia, Virginia, Texas, and California.
Conference Count: The number of men's and women's teams from each conference that appear in the Campbell/ITA Division I Top 25 Rankings are listed numerically. Men's Top 25: SEC - 7; Pac-12 - 5; ACC, Big Ten and Big 12 - 3; WCC - 2; Ivy League and WAC - 1. The Pac-12 placed four squads in the top 10 of this week's poll. Women's Top 25: ACC and SEC - 6; Pac-12 and Big 12 - 4; Big Ten - 3; Big East and Ivy - 1. All four of the Pac-12 teams landed inside the top 10 this week.
Double Dip: A total of 13 schools have placed both their men's and women's teams in this week's Campbell/ITA Rankings top 25. California, Duke, Georgia, Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Virginia find both their men's and women's teams in the top 10 this week.
