TEMPE, Ariz. - On Sunday, March 18, 2018, Southwestern University and defending NCAA Division III National Champion Williams College competed in a Division III regular-season match. Thanks to the work of former Williams women's tennis coach and current USC women's tennis coach Alison Swain, the match took place at Marks Tennis Stadium, the home of the Trojans.
Following the match, which Williams won, the two teams stuck around and shared a lunch together. In addition to the meal, the ladies also took time to get to know their opponents on a personal level. It was a great display of sportsmanship and comradery.
Here's a recap from Southwestern University on the match, as well as a video featuring players from both teams talking about the unique event, and their hopes for the 2018 season.
